RESIDENTIAL ENERGY AUDITS
Energy Audits come in many flavors.
We provide an Audit that exceeds the requirements
for the audits performed by Energy Providers.
We use a base formula of $0.10 per square foot.
Example: A 1,400 square foot home would start at $140.00.
There may be a modest mileage charge depending on your location.
* Homes with special issues may require an additional limited fee.
The Homeowner will be informed,
of the complete price,
before the energy audit begins.
The basic audit takes 3 to 5 hours.

Standard Energy Audit includes:
> Outside inspection of entire building.
> Indoor inspection of entire building.
> Water usage test.
> Energy use evaluation, and home energy index report.
> Basement, Crawlspace, and Attic inspection.
> Wall cavity inspection with remote camera, ( If required).
> Air barrier and Vapor barrier evaluation.
> Furnace and Water heater inspection.
> Air-conditioner inspection.
> Electricity use evaluation based on obvious appliances and use.
> Computerized Blower Door Test to locate air leaks and problems
that are not otherwise obvious.
> Air exchange test to determine if home has a healthy level of fresh air.
> Duct inspection, and Attic bypass test.
> General Health and Safety inspection.
> Detailed report of how the home may be improved to save energy.
* We explain every level of the report so you can take action.
> Site survey to determine if your location is a good candidate for
Wind or Solar power options.
OPTIONAL ITEMS :
> Pre-audit Testing: $100 minimum, plus mileage.

> Retrofit Management: $50 per hour - plus mileage.
We can come to your site to inspect work done by contractors.
We have to OK their work before you pay them.
> Retrofit Blower Door Test: $75 - plus mileage.
We return after a retrofit, and retest the building pressure.
> New Construction Management: $50 per hour - plus mileage.
We can guide your builder during new construction to insure the
home is built to the best energy standards, thus preventing energy
loss problems in the future.
> Solar & Wind site survey. $40 - plus mileage.
This survey is included with the basic energy audit. It is also available
as a stand alone item. We provide an unbiased survey of your
location for possible Solar or Wind energy. We don't sell Solar or
Wind packages. We will truthfully tell you if it's worth your
investment to install such a system.
